This poster is currently unbacked. At check out, you will be given the opportunity to add backing which would cost $65 and take approximately 4 weeks.

Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself. Backing is what we recommend for framing, and for any poster needing restoration.

  • 1. You have read what the Germans have done in Belgium. Have you thought what they would do if they invaded this country?
    2. Do you realise the safety of your home and children depends on our getting more men now?
    3. Do you realise that the one word "Go" from you may send another man to fight for our King and Country?
    4. When the War is over and your husband or your son is asked "What did you do in the great War?" is he to hang his head because you would not let him go?

Won;t you help and send a man to join the Army to-day?

Interesting reference to both "Women of Britain Say GO" and "Daddy What did YOU do in the Great War" PRC posters.
