Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself.

A bird's-eye view from Gellert Hill, past the statue of St. Gellert, from the Pest side of the Danube river as it flows through Hungary's capital city. IN the background rises the impressive Parliament building and the Margit Bridge. Hungarian born Pal was a painter and graphic artist who studied in Switzerland, Paris and Rome before returning to Hungary.
Photographed before linen backing. Backing will take approximately 6 weeks following purchase. There is a label for the New York office of the Hungarian Travel Bureau at the bottom right, this will be removed with linen backing.
