A prominent visual element in the identity of one of New York City's most famous museums. Malcom Grear founded his eponymous studio in 1960 the same year he began teaching at the Rhode Island School of Design, where he was a professor until 1997. From 1970-90 The Malcolm Grear Studio was the sole designer for New York's Guggenheim museum. Grear himself states that the concept for this posters came about when he saw one of Richard Hamilton's paintings for the Wright-designed museum. Malcom Grear Designers, Printed in the United States.
