Interesting travel brochure with cover art by Bernard Reber basically copying Otto Baumberger's poster for the Simplon Line. Connecting Switerland and Italy through the 12 mile long Simplon Tunnel, which opened in 1906, electrified in the early 1920s, the line quickly earned an international reputation for being fast and reliable.
Without showing a rail car, the artwork shows rails and overhead power lines with the distinctive rock hills and medieval castle ruins of Sion as the background backdrop.Purpose:
