Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself. Backing is what we recommend for framing, and for any poster needing restoration.

One of as series of graphic mid-century posters highlighting the towers of Copenhagen.
Marmorkirken (Frederiks Kirke) built 1875–1894. While the foundation was laid in 1749, the building stood as an incomplete ruin for over a century due to budget cuts. It was finally completed and opened in 1894.
Københavns Rådhus (Copenhagen City Hall) built 1892–1905 stylized with a pink facade, a green roofline, and its soaring clock tower topped with a distinctive slim spire. Designed by architect Martin Nyrop in the National Romantic style, the city hall officially opened in 1905 and remains the headquarters of the municipal council.
