Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself. Backing is what we recommend for framing, and for any poster needing restoration.

Frank Michaelson, an overprotective, conventional father is thrown into comedic turmoil when his vibrant daughter, Mollie, leaves for a New England college and rapidly evolves from a naive freshman into a fiercely independent intellectual. As Mollie embraces the "beatnik" lifestyle, champions political causes, and eventually moves to Paris to study art, her panicked father continuously misinterprets her letters home and frantically intervenes to shield her from bohemian artists and modern ideas, getting himself into ridiculous scrapes along the way as he struggles to accept that his daughter has grown up.
