  • No, No, Nanette (The New 1925 Musical)

Production Supervisor Busby Berkeley;  Starring Ruby Keeler, Jack Gilford, Bobby Van, Helen Gallagher, Susan Watson, and Patsy Kelly

46th Street Theatre in New York City

Set in New York City and Atlantic City., they play revolves around Jimmy Smith, a wealthy Bible publisher whose pathively frugal wife, Sue, refuses to spend any of their millions. Because he has an abundance of unspent cash, Jimmy secretly decides to become a financial benefactor to three beautiful young women (Betty, Winnie, and Flora).
When the three women begin demanding more money and threatening to expose him, Jimmy realizes his wife might misunderstand his purely platonic but highly compromising arrangement. He panic-hires his smooth-talking lawyer friend, Billy Early, to help him untangle the situation and quietly settle with the women in Atlantic City.
Complications explode exponentially when multiple parties independently head to the exact same location—Chickadee Cottage in Atlantic City. Once all three couples, the three blackmailing gold-diggers, and a very stressed cook converge under one roof, a chaotic series of romantic mishaps, deceptions, and hidden identities unfold. After a whirlwind of misunderstandings, the blackmail schemes are thwarted, the couples sort out their jealousy, and everyone happily reconciles.
Included in the musical are the broadway classics, "I Want to Be Happy," "Tea for Two," and the title song "No, No, Nanette".
