Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself.

The price of this poster includes linen backing.

  • Das will der Sozialismus! - This is what Socialism wants!
Text poster describing the events of November 9, 1918 (the German Revolution, the end of the monarchy, and the establishment of the Weimar Republic) and discusses universal suffrage, equal rights, and political democracy versus economic enfranchisement.
Further promoting Recht auf Arbeit und ihren Ertrag (The right to work and to the yield of one's labor) through social ownership of the means of production (earth, mines, factories, tools, machines) so that the yield of labor belongs to the working community rather than private owners.
The poster ends with a poem:
Bis die Fahnen still sich senken und die Trommel ausgegellt / In dem Parlament der Menschheit, in dem Bundesrat der Welt.
Until the flags quietly lower and the drums have faded / In the parliament of humanity, in the federal council of the world.
