This poster is currently unbacked. At check out, you will be given the opportunity to add backing which would cost $325 and take approximately 6-8 weeks.
Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself. Backing is what we recommend for framing, and for any poster needing restoration.
Last of the Redmen, the 1947 George Sherman Native American Indian cowboy western adventure ("Fighting... loving... leaping to life from one of the world's immortal adventure stories"; "Temptation in the wilderness!"; "Unparalleled thrills in incomparable new Color!"; "Adapted from 'The Last of the Mohicans' by James Fenimore Cooper”).
Starring Jon Hall, Michael O'Shea (as Hawk-Eye/Natty Bumpo; we've been told he had a Bronx accent which certainly would not have fit the character), Evelyn Ankers, Julie Bishop, Buster Crabbe (he plays Native American Indian villain Magua, and the once major serial star has dropped to 5th billing!), and Robert 'Buzz' Henry (billed as "Buzz Henry"). Note that there is an oddity about this movie.
Please note loss on right edge. Please note folded as original, may have slight tears in folds, small losses in borders etc. See photo.
