Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself. Backing is what we recommend for framing, and for any poster needing restoration.

Starring Ben Gazzara, Audrey Hepburn, John Ritter, Colleen Camp, Patti Hansen, Dorothy Stratten (in her last movie role before she was tragically murdered by her husband), Blaine Novak, Sean Ferrer, and Linda MacEwen (Novak, Ferrer, and MacEwen are all billed as "introducing Blaine Novak, Sean Ferrer, and Linda MacEwen").
20th Century Fox intended to distribute this film in the United States. Following the murder of Dorothy Stratten, they performed test-screenings which did not go well and they canceled the film's release. Bogdanovich decided to distribute it himself and bought the domestic distribution rights. The release was very limited and it was a financial disaster for Bogdanovich.
