Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself. Backing is what we recommend for framing, and for any poster needing restoration.

I Thank a Fool, Robert Stevens English mercy killing female medical doctor romantic thriller melodrama ("Who is the fool?"; "Love can make a killer out of a woman... And a fool out of any man!"; "The woman who would kill for love...? The wife who would give her life for love...? ...or the husband who would look 'elsewhere' for love?"; "Based on the Novel by Audrey Erskine Lindop"; about a female doctor who kills her husband in a mercy killing, and then goes to prison and has her license revoked, and then a man hires her to take care of his mentally ill wife, and when the wife dies, the former doctor naturally is suspected.
