One of the rarest and most desirable of Air France posters.
Printed by Hubert Baille & Cie. Paris
An optimistic post-war image depicting North America as the proverbial "City in the Clouds.” Interesting subtle use of stars and stripes and a Lockheed Constellation soaring across the sky. Guy Arnoux was a prolific book illustrator. The few posters he designed generally fall into one of two styles: images d'epinal, naive, traditionalist woodcuts focusing only on a subject's positive qualities, and this, a more Modernist, Art Deco style.
