Lovely and rare print from an earlier time with very different sensibilities. Historically the swastika was an important symbol in many cultures including Native American. By the early twentieth century it was regarded worldwide as symbol of good luck and auspiciousness.
Lo, the good Indian, better than the kind,
In tales of massacre and blood we find;
With noble mein and keen unflinching eye,
He fronts the future, unafraid to die,
Knowing full well earth has for him no place,
Hearing, unloved, the death knell of his race.
