This dog race was held in 1940 and 1941, the race ran 165 miles from Fairbanks to Livengood and back. William F. Goddard was the chairman of this 1941 race. The winner was Jake Butler in 20:23:06 time with 2nd going to Bob Buzby in 20:31:43. 3rd went to Arndt Skaug in 21:27:36.
