Swim in the YMHA Pool
A swimmer dives through the loop in the L of “Pool" into the cool waters at the Young Men's Hebrew Association New York.
RARE New York City poster.
Founded three decades after the Young Men's Christian Association, the YMHA was centered around the mental, moral, social, and physical improvement of Jewish young men. In 1972 renamed the 92nd Street Y, the organization now reaches out beyond its core constituency of American Jews to serve people of diverse racial, religious, ethnic and economic backgrounds, offering an array of programing including art, culture, educational and other programs.
