The Khedivial Mail line was formed in 1898, bringing together disparate ships and ports run by the Egyptian government.Lovely illustration of one of Istanbul's iconic landmarks, Hagia Sophia, Instanbul (Constantinople), and the Ras-el-tin Palace, Alexandria are both depicted.
The single stack Famaka, was built in 1922 and served the company until 1927 when she was chartered to another company and renamed.
