Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself.

"The Apache Trail" was a side trip organized by the railroad for travelers on the route to California. Passengers would leave the train and be taken by car "through Arizona's Salt River Valley made possible by construction of the Roosevelt Dam" (Zega p. 55). Travel went from Phoenix to Globe, Arizona, seeing the Lower Tonto Cliff Dwellings near Apache Lodge, Fish Creek Canyon, Roosevelt Dam and Canyon Lake.
Please note 2 old faint horizontal crease lines. Very rare and wonderful poster.
