Linen backing is the industry standard of conservation. Canvas is stretchered and a sheet of acid free barrier paper is laid down. The poster is then pasted to the acid free paper using an acid free paste. This process is fully reversible and gives support to the poster. A border of linen is left around the poster and can be used by a framer to mount the poster so that nothing touches the poster itself. Backing is what we recommend for framing, and for any poster needing restoration.

Jerzy Skolimowski English mental institution insane asylum fantasy horror melodrama ("Based on the story by Robert Graves"; about a doctor at a mental institution who talks to a patient who tells him why he is there; in flashback, you see his story of spending many years in the Australian Outback, learning mystical techniques, including a "Shout" that can kill people, and how he used those techniques to terrorize a man and his wife; throughout the movie, you don't know if the story the patient is telling is real or fantasized).
Starring Alan Bates, Susannah York, John Hurt, Robert Stephens, Tim Curry, and Julian Hough. By all accounts, this is somewhat of a "forgotten masterpiece" by director Jerzy Skolimowski. It adapted from a 1929 novel by Robert Graves.
