Please note this poster is newly linen backed, but there are a few areas that are bubbling up from the linen, very minor and only visible from an oblique angle. Just one year after becoming a nationalized railway that combined four of Britain's biggest rail companies, British Railways found itself with an excess of expensive and underperforming train stations. In an effort to bring in more revenue, BR began advertising certain locations, such as the seaside town of New Brighton, as idyllic daytrip spots for nearby residents.
